MORE ABOUT BILLION OYSTER PROJECT
Billion Oyster Project is a New York City-based nonprofit with the goal of restoring one billion oysters to New York Harbor by 2035. Because oysters are filter feeders, they serve as a natural water filter. The reefs they form increase habitat and marine biodiversity levels, and help protect the city's shorelines from storm surges. Tombolo partnered with BOP to help support the organization’s commitment to foster biodiversity, naturally improve water quality, and build defense against storm damage through oyster restoration in NYC.
For the launch month of June 2023, we donated 100% of all proceeds from all three items in the collaboration capsule to Billion Oyster Project, helping raise over $60,000 for this great cause that month. Since July 2023, we continue to donate 15% of proceeds from the capsule.
