ABOUT THE HAT
Tombolo collected (read: hoarded) the 'Large Y' NYC Subway Tokens that were in circulation from 1970-1980, amassing 500 over the course of a few years. Each hat features an original token with the infamous cutout 'Y' detail -- we've cut out the underlying 'Y' in the fabric so that light shines all the way through. SIZING
One Size Fits Most (adjustable snapback that fits head sizes 6 3/4 to 7 7/8)
Avoid machine washing and drying, which can alter the shape of the hat.
Soak in warm water with laundry detergent or OxiClean (a stain remover) added. Spot clean as needed with a toothbrush. You may add shampoo to the toothbrush as you scrub out stains. Go gentle on stitched seams. Rinse out soap and air dry.

"Hat is incredible. Details off the charts. But my head is big and it didn’t fit at all. Made for a smaller man or women whose brain has not yet doubled in size due to living in NYC for 15 years. I wanted this to be my hat and yet it was not meant to be. Someone else will don this majestic hardware and rock it proudly knowing us big heads are jealous."

"I love this hat, and I have a much less complicated relationship with it than I do with the NYC subway that it so beautifully represents. The gorgeous details are well done and unique(I especially love the carefully hidden subway rat as I myself am something of a subway rat. The embroidery is done with excellent craftsmanship and the subway token is such a cool detail! My only critique is that the hat runs a little small for my big melon head, but I'm still glad I purchased."
