ABOUT THE COLLABORATION
As a born and bred New York brand, Tombolo developed a new and deep admiration for the essential workers of the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) during the COVID-19 pandemic. When COVID-19 jeopardized food security for vulnerable New Yorkers, it was DSNY that stepped up with emergency food distribution for those in need – leading an effort that distributed over one million meals per day for weeks on end. This capsule is a celebration of the people who keep New York City safe, healthy, and clean.

10% of proceeds from this collaboration support the Sanitation Foundation, an organization devoted to celebrating and supporting the essential Sanitation workforce and advancing the Department’s ambitious zero-waste agenda. Another 10% of proceeds from this collaboration support the City of New York via NYC & Company, an organization founded to maximize travel and tourism opportunities throughout the New York City, build economic prosperity and spread the dynamic image of New York City around the world.
Care & Composition
Avoid machine washing and drying, which can alter the shape of the hat.
Soak in warm water with laundry detergent or OxiClean (a stain remover) added. Spot clean as needed with a toothbrush. You may add shampoo to the toothbrush as you scrub out stains. Go gentle on stitched seams. Rinse out soap and air dry.

Free U.S. shipping available. Please allow 1 business day before items ship out. (Orders where "Fastest Shipping" or "Extra Expedited Shipping" is purchased go out the same business day if placed before 10:30am EST). At any point, feel free to inquire about an order or cancel an unshipped order by emailing support@tombolocompany.com.
We ship internationally, but if you're ordering to a country besides the U.S., there may be customs duties, taxes or fees and Tombolo is not responsible for them. Tombolo uses a service that allows you to prepay these duties, taxes and fees. For more information, please check our shipping terms.

- USA returns for refund incur a $6 shipping/processing fee per item deducted from the refund to the original form of payment.
We partner with Happy Returns; you can utilize one of their return bars, available at every FedEx and elsewhere, requiring no need to print a label or repackage the items.

"I knew I needed this hat the moment I laid eyes on it. It’s the perfect mix of a vintage feel with the quirkiness of Tombolo. Like other reviewers mentioned. The front patch is thick and hard (…what situations is THAT a bad thing)?!? However I found for the hat, to be true, and not in a good way, which made it uncomfortable to wear. I was able to bend the patch from the inside with a lot of effort, but it made all the difference. It is now comfortable to wear and doesn’t imprint or dig on my forehead. My 19 year old daughter keeps stealing it as well, so you know you’re on to something special!"
