Our terry cloth bucket hats have an elasticized interior sweatband, which allows for a degree of flexibility between sizes. 

S/M fits head sizes 6 5/8" to 7 1/4"

L/XL fits head sizes 7 1/4" to 7 5/8"

Don't know your hat size? 

As a very general rule of thumb, women will typically take size S/M and men will typically take size L/XL. Of course, there may be some exceptions to this rule...

Numerical hat sizes in the United States (e.g. 7 1/4") correspond to 'diameter' in the following equation: circumference = π * diameter. To measure your head circumference and find your corresponding hat size, follow the steps below: 

• Grab a flexible measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler).

• Wrap the tape around your head about ½ inch above your eyebrows and ears.

• Make sure the tape sits straight and level all the way around, resting at the widest part of your head.

• The tape should be snug but not tight—it shouldn’t squeeze or indent your skin.

• Record the measurement in inches, then reference the size chart below to find your fitted size.
