This shirt transforms one of Mary’s ink and acrylic works, 'Birds and Branches', into a wearable canvas.

SIZING 

This shirt is our new relaxed fit: still a unisex camp collar style, but in a more generous, breezy cut than our standard fit. It is roomier through the body, with longer sleeves, and slightly dropped shoulders. 

 Mary is 5' 9" and is wearing a size S. 

Colin is 5' 11" and is wearing a size L. 
 
MORE ABOUT MARY BALL

Mary Ball (b. 1993) lives and works in Birmingham, Alabama, by way of New Orleans. Ball received her BFA from the University of Georgia in 2016 and her MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2018. Recent exhibitions include Art In Bloom at New Orleans Museum of Art, White Linen Night at Studio 633, New Orleans and Controlled Chaos at 111 Franklin St, New York. Ball has had prior artist residencies including the Willow House Residency in Terilingua, Texas.

Chosen from over 600 applicants to the 2024 Tombolo Artist Residency, Mary Ball captivated us with her dreamlike worlds—lush with imaginary plants and mythological gardens, each serving as an expressive symbol of transition and self-reflection. Her works, while created in the immediately accessible environment of her backyard, feel wildly escapist. What better fit for a brand born in the concrete jungle of New York City that makes ‘escapewear’ designed to transport the wearer to a different time, place or state of mind.

Care & Composition
100% Tencel, carefully engineered to ensure unparalleled hand-feel, breathability, drape, and ease of care. Tencel is one of the most eco-friendly options available for button-down shirts and pants: it requires less energy and water to produce than cotton, it is biodegradable, and the solvents used in its production are run closed loop so there is no waste.
Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, and hang dry or tumble dry low.

Free U.S. shipping available. Please allow 1 business day before items ship out. (Orders where "Fastest Shipping" or "Extra Expedited Shipping" is purchased go out the same business day if placed before 10:30am EST). At any point, feel free to inquire about an order or cancel an unshipped order by emailing support@tombolocompany.com.

Returns

Within 30 days of the original purchase date...

  • USA returns for exchange or store credit are free. 

  • USA returns for refund incur a $6 shipping/processing fee per item deducted from the refund to the original form of payment.

    We partner with Happy Returns; you can utilize one of their return bars, available at every FedEx and elsewhere, requiring no need to print a label or repackage the items.
